Antibodies against citrulline cyclic peptide (Antibodies - anti-CCP) develop in joints with rheumatoid arthritis, where there is a large production of citrulline.
The use of anti-CCP is in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis together with the examination of rheumatoid factor RF
Anti-CCP is recommended as a basic test in the preventive check-up of rheumatoid arthritis
In particular, CRP-hs is recommended for people who have signs of rheumatoid arthritis, that is:
- Swelling and burning sensation in joints of hands and wrists
- Pain in elbows, neck, shoulders, hips, knees or even legs
- Achamoia - feeling stiffness in joints in the morning that improves during the day
- Fatigue
- Fever
- Development of nodules under the skin, especially on the elbows
- A general feeling of malaise
For adults, the following are applied:
- Expected levels in healthy < 5.0 U/ml
- Positive > 7.6
Simple blood collection at any time of the day, without preparing food or avoiding medication.
The result is given on the same day.
Privately, the cost of an individual examination is 25 euros*.
The examination is prescribed at the EOPYY**, with the participation of the examinee as defined in the referral (15%, unless otherwise stated)
