Anti-Mullerian hormone (anti-Mullerian - AMH) is a hormone, that is produced by the reproductive systems in men and women (testicles/ovaries respectively).

Anti Mullerian AMH is used as a fertility marker in women for:

1. ovarian function assessment - ovarian reserve assessment
2. predicting response to IVF
3. predicting menopause time

In addition, It could be used

1. in assessing the severity of polycystic ovary syndrome (high values)
2. in ovarian neoplasms as a cancer marker (high values)
3. in the hormonal assessment of masculine characteristics in women

Its measurement is also done in male children with poor testicular development (it can be caused by a possible lack of it)

• Simple blood collection at any time of the day, without preparing food or avoiding medication
