Helicobacter pylori are easily transmitted from person to person, entero-orally, and even though exhaled aerosol. Thus, if one person carries the infection, it is almost certain that the infection is present in both members of a couple or even in all members of a family.

The infection is simply treated, with a combined medication.

Postponing the treatment, in addition to possible stomach discomfort and severe bloating that often exists even after eating a little food, leads long-term to:

1. chronic gastritis with dyspeptic symptoms in 30-40% of cases.
2. duodenal or stomach ulcers in 10-15% of cases and an increased chance of developing digestive cancer.
