What is this?

The symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are intense exhaustion, poor sleep quality, waking up with headaches, musculoskeletal and joint pain, and memory problems. The intensity and type of symptoms vary from day to day.

Other signs may be, abdominal or chest pain, bloating, persistent cough, depression and anxiety, diarrhea, dizziness, dry eyes or mouth or ears, irregular pulse, jaw pain, nausea and loss of appetite, sweating during sleep, and breathing difficulties.

• Common chronic diseases - conditions using the analyzes of the general check-up. Inflammatory markers as well as metabolic markers are used to rule out possible persistent immune activation or a significant metabolic disorder

TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone)

The specific trace elements - electrolytes, regulate the body's water balance. By measuring them, we check possible dehydration or deregulation of electrolytes due to drugs (e.g. diuretics, anti-hypertensives, etc.).

ANA (antinuclear antibodies)

ANAs are a series of many different antibodies from different autoimmune diseases. They are usually expressed with long-term inflammations and the constant strain on the immune system, musculoskeletal pains, and chronic fatigue. They occur frequently among people with a family medical history of autoimmune disease, and it is more frequently in women.

Rheumatoid factor (RF)

Rheumatoid factor mainly detects rheumatoid arthritis, which is the autoimmune form of arthritis. Additional information can be given by the test, which is also sensitive to parasitic infections, tuberculosis, syphilis, and other autoimmune diseases, but also to diseases of the liver, kidneys, and lungs. All of the aforementioned conditions bring a chronic exhaustion to the body.

Optionally, the following tests are additionally done:

1. Testosterone In cases of suspected hormonal disorder in men (restricted muscle growth / low sexual desire)
2. Cortisol (Cort) In case of suspected adrenal dysfunction (fluid retention - sleep disorders)
3. Celiac test In case of suspected intolerance to grains - gluten and with low values in Ferritin or vitamin B12
4. Food intolerance test In bloating / dizziness after eating specific foods (e.g. cheese, fish, eggs, dairy, etc.)
5. Sexually transmitted diseases
