Non-Invasive Testing for Trisomies
WHAT IT IS (Down Syndrome – NIFTY TEST)
The NIFTY™ test is a non-invasive prenatal test that detects the three most common trisomy conditions (13, 18, 21) likely to be present at birth, which are Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome and Patau syndrome.
The NIFTY™ test is a diagnostic test (IVD) with European and American Medicines Agency (EMA, FDA) approvals
To date they have been tested for trisomy (Down syndrome, Edwards, Patau) with the haematological NIFTY test , more than 2,000,000 cases worldwide.
BASIC CASES OF OCCURRENCE – INDICATIONS – SIGNIFICANCE
NIFTY™ offers higher accuracy rates than traditional screening tests and, unlike invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, poses absolutely no risk of miscarriage for the mother or baby.
Independent studies, including the world’s largest study on its use in clinical practice in approximately 147,000 women, have shown that NIFTY™ has an accuracy rate of over 99% for detecting these conditions.
It enables the detection of trisomy in twin pregnancies.
NIFTY™ also offers optional testing for other genetic conditions such as deletion syndromes and aneuploidy chromosome abnormalities.
If you choose to find out, NIFTY™ can also provide information on gender.

NIFTY TEST Checkup (Down Syndrome Checkup)
Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of an extra copy of chromosome 21. This far-fetched genetic makeup can lead to physical characteristic and mental changes. The diagnosis of Down Syndrome (NIFTY TEST Checkup) (Down Syndrome Checkup) is usually done after birth based on the physical characteristics of the individual, but a new method of diagnosis, known as the NIFTY test, offers a more effective and safer technique for determining Down Syndrome during pregnancy.
The NIFTY test is a non-invasive genetic test that tests the fetal DNA from the mother’s blood. This test can detect any abnormalities in the fetal chromosomes, including Down’s syndrome, with great accuracy. With the development of technology, the NIFTY test has become a highly reliable method for identifying Down Syndrome and other genetic conditions in fetal DNA.
Expectant parents who are at risk of developing Down Syndrome can opt for the NIFTY test to get early and accurate information about the health of their fetus. This allows them to prepare and make decisions about their child’s future care based on their personal needs and the resources available.
In addition, the NIFTY test provides a safe alternative to invasive procedures, such as amniocentesis, which are associated with a low likelihood of complications and fetal encapsulation.
In summary, the NIFTY test is a pioneering method for determining Down’s syndrome during pregnancy, offering accuracy, safety and convenience to prospective parents.
