Zinc Zn

Zinc (Zn) is one of the most important trace elements - metals of the body, participating in hundreds of physiological functions, the main ones being:

  1. cell regeneration
  2. food metabolism
  3. wound healing

The analysis of Zinc (Zn) is recommended in:

a. Signs of deficiency:

It is mainly caused by low intake (malnutrition, vegetarianism, malabsorption) and usually results in:

  1. low immune efficiency and increased chances of colds
  2. low-quality scalp, nails, and skin

Low levels of zinc are also present in severe diseases of the liver, nerves, etc.

b. Signs of toxicity from excessive intake:

  1. Stomach disorders - pain in the abdomen
  2. Low immune efficiency (as in deficiency)
  3. Poor quality scalp, nails and skin (as in lack)

For adults, the following are applied:

  1. Expected levels in healthy 70-114 pg/ml
  2. Severe deficiency < 50 pg/ml

Simple morning blood draw (7.30-9.30 am), no food preparation (except exceptions*) or avoidance of medication

  1. Avoid zinc supplements for 72 hours
  2. Avoid seafood - shellfish for 72 hours

The result is available the next working day.

A single examination costs 30 euros*.
