Lead Pb

Lead (Pb) is a metal that belongs to the category of heavy metals. Lead exposure is neurotoxic and has severe effects that can lead to severe neurological disorders, coma, or even death. Children are extremely sensitive to lead exposure, with much lower tolerance levels than adults.

Measurement is required whenever there are signs of toxicity from exposure to heavy metals.

The main indications of chronic exposure are:

  1. High blood pressure
  2. Abdominal pain Constipation Cramps and/or muscle aches
  3. Psychological - Behavioral disorders
  4. Pain, numbness, or tingling in the extremities
  5. Headaches Memory loss Mood disorders
  6. Decreased sperm count / abnormal sperm

Beware of products imported from countries without European CE marking, they may contain lead such as

  1. Some traditional or folk treatments
  2. health foods, canned foods, nutritional supplements, cosmetics
  3. jewelry, toys
  1. Children: < 25 μg/dL
  2. Adults: < 40 μg/dL
