2. Ulcerative colitis
3. Bacterial infections of the intestine
4. Gastrointestinal cancer

It is used:

1. as an indicator of intestinal inflammation
2. in the diagnosis and monitoring of treatment in Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis

In studies, its use is reported as an early indicator of bowel cancer

Indications for the need of examination are:

1. symptoms of diarrhea
2. fever
3. weight loss
4. blood loss from the rectum

Simple blood collection happens at any time of the day (7.30-19.30)

1. without restrictions on food from the previous day
2. without restrictions on possible medication intake
3. the result is not affected of any existing transient illness - cold

The result is given within 2 days
