Personalized Prevention Check Up & Health Optimization

With the General Check up (Haematology) we check:

  • the immune system (physiology/possible activation by infections – inflammation/deficiency – disorders)
  • predisposing cardiovascular risk factors (dyslipidemia – endovascular inflammation)
  • the most common chronic – serious diseases (diabetes – cardiovascular – hepatopathies – kidney diseases – autoimmune – specific infections etc.)
  • the basic metabolic profile of the body.

The General Check Up examinations are :

Haemogram – 21 parameters General Blood Count (CBC) and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR)

A hemodynamic assessment of the body is made by measurements:

Haematocrit (HCT), haemoglobin (HGB), red blood cell count (RBC) and 4 auxiliary parameters to assess red cell morphology.

The physiology of blood production is controlled. Indications of possible anaemia require further testing (from iron – vitamin deficiency, gastrointestinal losses – malabsorption, stigma of thalassemia, haematological diseases, etc.)

White blood cell count (WBC), and white blood cell count (WBC-Dif)

The resting/activated state of the immune system is judged. It is used for the detection and monitoring of possible infections – destructions – inflammations or pathological diseases of the bone marrow.

With the leukocyte type, the proportion of the relative subpopulations of leukocytes (polymorphonuclear, lymphocytes, large mononuclear, eosinophils) is calculated. It is used in the differentiation of microbial – viral infections, detection of allergies, diagnosis and monitoring of myelodysplastics.

Platelet Count (PLT)

An additional indicator to assess myeloid function. First check for disturbances in haemostasis (e.g. from taking drugs) and infections, long-term inflammation, which increase platelets (e.g. smoking).

Red blood cell sedimentation rate

First assessment of possible immune activation from long-term inflammation and chronic diseases. Unexpected values indicate the need for further testing.

Necessary examination when there are indications such as: fatigue, cold sensation, ticks, pale colour, recurrent fevers and generally in any case of suspected pathological condition of any cause.

Fasting blood sugar (Gluc) / 2-hour blood sugar

By measuring blood sugar after a 12-hour fast, we check for the presence of possible diabetes.

In people with a family history of diabetes, obesity, long-term stress or with borderline fasting glucose measurements in the past, it is recommended to measure 2-hour glucose. It is measured 2 hours after a breakfast rich in carbohydrates and we find out the body’s potential to “burn” sugar, revealing the person’s possible predisposition to diabetes.

A blood sugar test is necessary in case of signs of polyuria – polydipsia, weight disorders, long-term cortisone intake, family history of diabetes.

Urea (Urea) and Creatinine (Crea)

The function of the kidneys and their effectiveness in removing specific substances from the blood into the urine is evaluated. Also evaluated are possible dehydration, eating disorders, heart failure, etc.

Necessary examination when there is a feeling of fatigue, headache, insufficient or excessive water intake, oliguria or polyuria, intense exercise, bad breath, taking diuretic – cardiological drugs.

Uric acid (Uric acid)

It is used in the diagnosis of arthritis and as an indicator of joint wear due to age or sports or pharmaceutical stress. By evaluating the values, the possible adjustment of dietary habits with uric acid-poor foods or the need for medication is assessed.

Necessary examination in joint pains and big toes (gout), sports stress, diet rich in uric acid.

Lipid profile (basic)

Total Cholesterol (Chol), High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol ( HDL ), Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol ( LDL ), Atherogenic Index, Triglycerides (TGL), Total Lipids (Total Lipids)

An assessment of cardiovascular risk – atherosclerosis from dyslipidemia, as well as the endogenous production of cholesterol and the dietary burden of animal fat in our body.

The results are evaluated in combination with other predisposing factors (smoking, hypertension, diabetes, non-exercise, diet, family history, etc.) for further dietary advice or treatment with dietary supplements and/or drugs.

Necessary examination in people with cardiovascular risk indicators or unhealthy lifestyle, evidence of atherosclerosis, family history of dyslipidemia – cardiovascular.

C reactive protein quantitative/high sensitivity (hs-CRP)

Sensitive quantitative indicator of inflammation – destruction of the acute phase organism. It is a similar test to the TKE, but it responds to situations in the last three days (the TKE is an indicator of the last 30 days) and is also much more sensitive than the TKE.

It is used in preventive check up, in detection:

– the active formation of atherosclerotic plaques within the vessels

– inflammation from diseases of joints, teeth and other organs

– inflammatory effect of tobacco or obesity

Liver enzymes: transaminases (AST and ALT) and g-GT

The physiology of the liver function is checked and possible liver burden from alcohol or drug consumption, polyphagia – obesity, fatty infiltration, autoimmune diseases, etc. Tests may indicate liver infections such as hepatitis B and C.

Necessary testing to assess the correct metabolic function and the general safety of the organism.

General urine test

The health of the urinary system (kidneys – bladder) is assessed by:

  • measurement of multiple chemicals (sugar, haemoglobin, nitrite, etc.)
  • measurement of physical parameters (specific gravity, colour, turbidity, etc.)
  • microscopic examination (counting white – red blood cells, microbes, fungi, crystals, kidney or bladder cells, etc.)

Any bladder infections, dehydration, dangerous metabolic disorders (e.g. in sudden weight loss), and more serious degenerative diseases of the kidneys and bladder can be detected.
